MARKET/DELI SUPERVISOR –The Market/Deli Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations and staff within the Market and Deli. This person will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure adequate supply of food is maintained, with attention to consistent quality of food. This person is responsible for hiring and training staff, scheduling staff according to business needs, reinforcing company-wide training and creating an atmosphere of teamwork. Responsibilities also include completing monthly inventory, ordering supplies, developing and maintaining tracking system, maintaining cost controls, and creating/maintaining budget for Market and Deli. This person will also develop and implement programs to ensure a consistent high level of guest satisfaction. A minimum of two (2) years of recent restaurant or deli supervisory experience is required; Aloha experience preferred. Must have excellent organization and communication skills, and attention to detail. Qualified candidates must be proficient with MS Office applications, including Outlook, Excel and Word. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays, as needed.
LINE COOK – FULL TIME – Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates; Handles, stores and rotates all products properly while maintaining a sanitary work station. Follows all sanitation and safety guidelines; Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience; Qualified candidates must be able to work flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed.
SOUS CHEF- FULL TIME – Responsibilities include planning and directing food preparation, as well as assisting with supervision of kitchen staff. Duties include preparation and cooking of food, and ensuring that all food is of top quality, and that kitchen staff are mindful of cost standards associated with the food. This person will assist with menu planning, inventory, managing supplies, ensuring that kitchen has proper safety standards, and that the team is following proper sanitation guidelines. A minimum of two (2) years of recent Sous Chef experience is required. Must have excellent organization and communication skills, and have attention to detail. Qualified candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays, as needed.
ROOM ATTENDANT – 5 PART TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE – Responsible for ensuring cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas, and must have the ability to anticipate and meet the needs of our guests. Candidates must be able to interact with guests in a courteous and efficient manner, possess high levels of attention to detail, and maintain high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms and throughout the resort. Previous housekeeping experience is required. English preferred; Bi-lingual is a plus.
PROMOTIONAL COORDINATOR – FULL TIME: Responsible for coordinating promotional efforts for all SunStream Food and Beverage outlets and catering services. Collaborate with property staff and SunStream marketing team to create unique and effective campaigns. Create and promote events for hotel guests and local residents. Continually build community awareness through various media outlets and community organizations. Candidate must demonstrate strong self discipline and self motivation. Strong communication and writing skills are required along with a good knowledge of the food and beverage industry.
COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST – FULL TIME: Responsible for internal and external marketing, public and community relations, and special projects. Must be able to write and disseminate press releases to highlight SunStream events and build effective contact lists for consumer, niche market, travel industry and meeting publications, as well as online media. Ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive web-based pressroom. Establish, build and strengthen relationships with travel writers, tourism organizations, trade publication editors and broadcast producers to generate media coverage and promote travel propensity toward SunStream Hotels & Resorts. Develop and write content for SunStream Marketing collateral, maintain press kit file cabinet and collaborate with team members to create media opportunities. Attend VCB, CVB and chamber events to increase SunStream awareness. Encourage community involvement throughout the company through community relations programs. Attend all required SunStream meetings, conferences and trade shows. Participate and complete departmental projects as requested and complete additional special projects as requested. Must be able to read, write, and speak English; bi-lingual is a plus. Excellent presentation and analytical skills, plus demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with ease. Strong verbal and written communication skills is required. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint is required. One year previous experience in communications or marketing is preferred.
REVENUE MANAGER – FULL TIME - Responsible for coordinating revenue management functions and inventory strategies for multiple properties to ensure that revenue and profits are maximized; Manage room authorizations, rates and restrictions. Analyze competitive performance through the use of market share tools and make recommendations to the properties. Analyze reports and available information to make long term pricing recommendations. Develop strategies that will maintain and/or increase RevPAR for all properties. Must have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, have strong verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of revenue management concepts, have ability to make sound decisions, and be proficient in MS Word and Excel. Prior hotel revenue management experience is required. Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
BAR BACK – PART TIME w/potential for FULL TIME – Responsible for basic prep work behind the bar, including refilling ice bins and prepared drink machines, restocking liquor, cutting garnishes, and clearing away empty glasses. Assist in maintaining an orderly and clean bar area at all times; wipe down counter, menus, bar stools, and sweep/mop floors. Recent bar back experience preferred. Flexible schedule required including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
SERVER - PART TIME w/potential for FULL TIME – Responsibilities include serving drinks and meals to guests in a fast, friendly, and efficient manner, in all food and beverage outlets. Suggestively sell menu and drink items and ensure that guests receive quality service throughout their visit. Previous server experience is required.
