SunStream Travel Blog
Welcome! As employees of SunStream and residents of Southwest Florida, we thought this blog would be an excellent opportunity to share what we love about living here with our guests. Enjoy!
Labor Day signals the end of this year’s summer season. So while savoring the fleeting days of summer at a Fort Myers Beach resort, celebrate your Labor Day with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Pinchers Crab Shack.
The Labor Day Beach Bash will be held on September 6, from noon until 3 p.m. at the Pinchers Crab Shack, reports WINK-TV. Five percent of your bill from the restaurant’s tiki menu will go to the Walk to Prevent Child Abuse Fund.
This year will mark the 5th year of the walk, according to the news source, which has already raised thousands of dollars to fight abuse. The walk will be held on October 16 at Pelican Preserve.
The money raised at the Labor Day Bash and the walk will be donated to the Children’s Network of Southwest Florida.
So prepare to eat delicious food and enjoy the final days of summer, all while supporting a good cause. It will leave you feeling satiated, refreshed and ready to greet the cooler fall weather.
SunStream Beach Team is on location at the DiamondHead Beach Resort & Spa while Sylvia Garson shoots her NYC based cable television show, Kids Can Cook TV. She works with the local community to gather children to teach a healthy recipe and then pairs it with an environmental lesson. In this episode she taught the children how to make fruit smoothies and then paired it with a lesson from Marilyn and Joanne from the Ostego Bay Foundation.

SunStream Beach Team visits The Resort at MarinaVillage, a luxurious and pet-friendly resort located in Cape Coral, Florida. This week we featured the resort from a dogs perspective, while also talking to some of the guests who brought their pets along with them. We touched a little on the Oil Spill, however, since Southwest Florida has been very fortunate we want to continue our outings and talked to our guests while also letting others get acquainted with our resorts.
